A Nigerian lady identified as @Zonia_Chris has stirred up controversy on social media after revealing the detrimental effects of referring to your husband as a “baby”.
The lady shared on the microblogging site X, that it is incorrect for a woman to refer to her husband by pet names like “babe” or “baby,” since these terms denote a new individual in the Christian faith.
Therefore, referring to your partner as a baby implies being casual and demeaning to the Christian faith.
She emphasizes that it isn’t romantic in the spiritual world and that the Holy Spirit has cautioned her against thinking of her future companion as a baby.

“Why I won’t call my hubby baby? There is power in the tongue, but the average Christian doesn’t understand this. That’s why we speak loosely, make silly jokes while speaking negatively. One thing I do consciously, is warn people not to joke anyhow; even when my friends…What they know is, you’re prophesying over him and they will run with it. My love is very okay, my king, use your dialect, Eze, odogwu, olowo ori mi, my personal favorite is my priest, etc. There are options, I won’t call him baby, feel free to call yours that.
