Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, has become the first person to hit 400 million followers on popular photo and video sharing platform, Instagram.
The Portuguese footballer is the first person to cross the 400 million followers mark, just behind the official account of Instagram with over 469 million followers.
In September 2021, Ronaldo became the most followed man on the social media platform with 237 million followers, and in less that five months, his followers have grown exponentially, adding over 170 million followers.

Popular British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, took to Twitter to congratulate Ronaldo on achieving yet another huge milestone.
Sharing a photo with him, Piers wrote, “Congratulations on becoming the first human being ever to reach 400 million followers on Instagram. The undisputed social media goat, p.s he only follows 500 people, including me… he knows a good grammer when he sees one.”
Reality TV star, Kylie Jenner is the second-most followed person on Instagram with over 308million followers, while Lionel Messi is third with 306million.
