Late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu’s mother and her twin have narrated their horrible experiences with her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, in a recent chat with BBC Igbo.
The singer’s mother disclosed that she didn’t see her grandchildren for 8 years and Peter didn’t allow her come for Omugwo to take care of her daughter and her children when they were born.
The grieving mother also revealed that Peter who claimed to be a Pastor, alienated the singer from her family and didn’t allow them to visit their home, until a pastor intervened. She disclosed that there was a time Peter sent her out of the house when she was sick.
She further disclosed that Osinachi once left her matrimonial home for over a year due to her husband’s maltreatment, and only returned after he came with Pastors to beg her.
She also claimed that she advised Osinachi times without number to leave the marriage, but she refused, insisting that the Bible is against divorce.
Speaking further, The distraught mother recounted a time when Peter threatened that Osinachi would only leave the marriage in death and sadly, that was what truly happened.
Osinachi’s sisters including her twin, also narrated their horrible experiences with Peter and how he pretended to be a good person before he married their sister.
They claimed that Peter maltreated Osinachi during her four pregnancies, and corroborated their mother’s claim that he didn’t allow her do Omugwo for her daughter’s children.
Speaking in the interview, Osinachi’s twin said her sister was in severe agony when she sang her hit song “Ekwueme”, which explains why she was crying in the ministration video that went viral online.
She also claimed that Peter threatened to separate them despite the fact that they were twin, and succeeded in doing that.
They further disclosed that Peter was unemployed and extorted their sister repeatedly when she was paid to do a song ministration.
This is coming after the singer passed away on Friday, April 8, from injuries sustained after her husband physically assaulted her.
