Social media was set abuzz earlier today after it was revealed that the acclaimed sold out concert by Nigerian singer, Davido was not actually sold out but ‘nearly’ was.
Music station, Sound City TV had in an article said the concert was ‘nearly’ sold out and what followed in media rounds were other proofs that buttressed their statement, like an American rapper who was invited to perform saying he’s grateful the singer gave him the opportunity to perform to 17,000 and an also a review article by UK media publishing website, The Guardian also saying something akin to that of Sound City.
All the while, the singer had kept mum to the reports until moments ago he took to his page to share something that can be considered a receipt to prove that he indeed sold out the arena.
A mail was sent to the management of the 02 Arena asking to confirm if indeed the singer’s event was sold out and in response, the management stated briefly and concisely that the event was sold out.
Davido then shared the screenshot of this mail on his page as he says ‘our people like amebo’ before going on to state his next agenda of performing in the United States.
He wrote alongside the screenshot,
Our People and amebo ??? ….. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEXT !!?????????Our People and amebo ??? ….. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NEXT !!?????????
