Nigerian singer and former Mavin Records signee, Hadiza Blell, popularly known as Di’ja, has addressed rumors that she left Mavin Records due to some unknown disagreements.
Di’Ja joined Mavins Records in February 2014, debuting with her single “Yaro.” Throughout her time with the label, she collaborated with fellow Mavins artists on popular tracks such as “Dorobucci,” “Adaobi,” “Looku Looku,” and “Arise.”
The 39-year-old singer made it clear that she didn’t leave Mavin Records and used the opportunity to show her support for fellow singer, Tems.
Di’ja who celebrated her birthday a few days ago, took to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to showcase the thoughtful gifts she received, including a cake from Mavin Records.
She wrote;
“Thank you to my family, friends, and family at Mavin for my cakes. I must gain weight this year.”
This caused a Twitter user to speculate that Di’ja might have outperformed Tems in terms of success and ask why she left Don Jazzy.
He wrote;
“Why did you leave Don Jazzy? You would have been bigger than Tems now.”
Reacting to this, Di’Ja stated that she did not leave and was grateful for love and happenings.
She wrote;
“I never left. Kindly know this. Life happens, and we are grateful for all the love and happenings. God bless Tems, and I need her to get bigger.”
Although many would like to see a partnership with Mavin Records, Di’Ja’s declaration puts an end to suspicions and emphasizes her continuous association with them.
