A young Nigerian man has paid tribute to his late mother as he signs out from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.
Blessed, who noted that his mother’s lifelong dream was for him to graduate from a tertiary institution, paid a special tribute to her after his final examination.
While bagging a degree is a significant accomplishment, what made the day even more special was the tribute he paid to his mother, who passed away a few years ago.
He revealed that his mother was his biggest supporter throughout his academic journey. She encouraged him to pursue his dreams and provided him with the emotional and financial support he needed to succeed. However, she was unable to see her son graduate due to her untimely passing.
To honor his mother’s memory, Blessed wore a white shirt with his mother’s photo on his sign-out day.
Sharing the photos from the sign-out celebration on Facebook, he wrote,
“Hello mum, hope you can hear me, your dream for me has been achieved but you are no more to witness it. Your little boy is now a graduate. I hope you will be happy wherever you are. I have fulfilled my promise, I have made you proud and I will continue to do that.
“You suffered for this, you blessed me and wished me well. The mission has been accomplished. NYSC LOADING…I dedicate this special day to you mum…I cried because you are no more, I also want to use this medium to appreciate everyone that helped me to achieve this to train myself in school was the hardest decision ever but thank God today I made it, all through my school days I never associated myself with bad friends because I always remember my background and I believe that my family background will never put my back on the ground.. congratulations to me its never easy but I conquered it.
