Captain Ajibade, father of popular Nigerian singer, Oluwatosin Ajibade better known as Mr Eazi has disclosed why he never had a “father-son relationship” with the singer.
Mr Eazi’s father, who served for 19 years in the Nigerian Air Force in a WhatsApp conversation with him disclosed that he was serving in Sierra Leone when Eazi was born and this affected their relationship.
According to the retired pilot, serving in the West African country when he (Mr Eazi) was born made them not to blend or have a ‘father-son’ relationship.
He further revealed that his son, the “miss you bad crooner” at the time usually sees him as an intruder or visitor. Noting that this continued until they moved out of Port Harcourt.
In his words,
“I was in Sierra Leone when you were born. living in tent at Lungi Airport, 1990 to 1992.
That was why we couldn’t blend(father/son relationship) until we moved out of PH. I was always/ intruder to you”.
Mr Eazi who recently met the President of Sierra Leone, Prof. Julius Maada Bio, shared a screenshot of the chat as he tells his Sierra Leonean fans that he has always had a connection with their country.
