It was quite an emotional moment on Wednesday night as the mother of late Big Brother Naija star, Rico Swavey, danced to a music project he was working on before his tragic demise.
Before Rico’s passing, he had recorded a song he titled “This Life” and had intended for it to be released in December, as announced on his Instagram page.
Sadly, he passed away last Thursday, October 13, 2022, prior to the song’s debut.
An evening of tribute was held in his memory on Victoria Island on Wednesday, October 19, and the song was played at the event.
An emotional video serving the rounds online showed his bereaved mother dancing to the song at his night of tribute.

Meanwhile, Big Brother Naija stars, Alex and Ifu Ennada, have finally squashed their over two-year beef, and it’s beautiful to see.
The reality TV stars who have been at loggerhead since 2019 over a leaked chat reconciled at their late colleague, Rico Swavey’s candlelight procession on Wednesday evening, October 19.
You would recall that in 2019, the ladies made headlines after a chat between them was leaked and showed Alex insulting Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson.
At the time, it was said that Ifu released the conversation in an effort to bring her colleague, Alex, down, which strained their relationship. Ifu later tendered a public apology to Alex, but it appears their friendship didn’t go back to the way it was.
Two years and ten months later, Ifu and Alex, who were present at their late colleague Rico Swavey’s service of song and candlelight procession, last night reconciled at the event. Read here.
