Arsenal were dealt a blow in the race for a top-four finish after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.
Phil Jagielka’s first Premier League goal in two years gave the hosts the lead after 10 minutes and after a dismal second-half performance, Arsenal fell to a sixth away defeat of the season.

A late addition to the starting line-up, Phil Jagielka scores early – pouncing on a loose ball the box to poke in from close range #EVEARS

Arsenal coach Unai Emery made two changes from the 2-0 win over Newcastle, bringing in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mohammed Elneny for Alex Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey.
The Gunners looked as if they would start from where they off when Mkhitaryan sent Alexandre Lacazette through on goal. Kurt Zouma came flying in with a clumsy challenge and took out his compatriot in the penalty area, yet escaped punishment from referee Kevin Friend.
After a sluggish start, Everton began to grow with confidence and soon found themselves in the lead.

Phil Jagielka’s goal is enough to take the three points for the home side although in truth, they could have scored more. #EVEARS #PL #iThoughtIKnewHer_HimUntil pic.twitter.com/QDwEdJE8zB

How can you be throwing a jacket at the opponents manager, Ozil throwing that jacket was Arsenal’s most dangerous moment of the match tbh#EVEARS
