Nollywood actress and politician, Funke Akindele has given a silent reaction to her loss in the Lagos state governorship election held on Saturday, February 18.
Funke, who was the running mate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, otherwise known as Jandor, has taken down all the political posts on her social media page.
This comes few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the winner of the election with a total of 762,134 votes.
He defeated Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party who secured 312,329 votes and PDP’s Jandor, who came third place with 62,449 votes.
It appears Funke Akindele has accepted defeat, as barely six hours after the result was announced, she deleted all political posts from her Instagram page.
A quick glance at her Instagram profile shows that she has deleted all of her campaign posts, leaving only personal photos and movie promotion posts.
