A lecturer at the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced his intention to lecture for 150 hours to break the Guinness World Record for the longest lecturing time.
The current title holder for the longest lecture is Arvind Mishra from Graphic Era University in Dehradun, India.
Arvind delivered a lecture on scientific computation for an impressive duration of 139 hours, 42 minutes, and 56 seconds, starting from March 1 to March 7, 2014.
The FUOYE lecturer, whose name was not disclosed, is aiming to break Arvind’s record. However, the details of the aca-a-thon has not been made public.
The school tweeted on Tuesday, May 13,
“The computer science lecturer at Federal University, Oye-Ekiti is organizing the ACA-A-THON event with the aim of surpassing Guinness World Record for the longest duration of lecturing, which is currently set at 150 hours.”
