Is 2016 the year the famous Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji walks down the aisle?
Ghana’S Famous Celebrity Webiste, GhanaCelebrities.com is reporting that the 38-year old actress is set to marry 29-year old “Alhaji” Ishaya Bako, the director of her latest movie Road to Yesterday before the end of 2016.
The website claims that the pair became friends after the actress moved to Abuja from Lagos about two years ago.
However, a spokesperson of Bako, who is also known for his Africa Movie Academy Awards movie, Braids on a Bald Head, and the 2012 documentary Fueling Poverty, on Tuesday denied the report.
“We have been laughing since we read it,” Bako’s spokesperson said. “But what can you do? It is not true.”
On Saturday, December 12, the former finance minister Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s son, Uzodinma Iweala, did a mock-proposal to Genevieve Nnaji on the red carpet for the premiere of his movie Beasts of No Nation, but it was all in jest.
