Ghanaian singer, Kwabena Kwabena has expressed regret about getting married early, stating that it deprived him of valuable years in his life.
The 44-year-old singer who tied the knot in his twenties stated this in a recent interview with Zionfelix.
He admitted that he should have prioritized his young and blossoming career instead of settling down at that age.
“The irony of the whole thing is that I played a role in stealing precious years of my life. Around the age of 26 or 27, I felt that I should have focused on my career and not allowed any external forces to derail my progress,”he said.
Kwabena Kwabena noted that he believes that God has given him a second chance to pursue his dreams.
He emphasized that he is now older and wiser to understand the importance of seizing opportunities and not taking anything for granted.
His words,
“I feel I was a young guy around that time, but by God’s grace, God has given me the chance again to have a second shot of my life.
That’s the reason why I am not taking things for granted because around that time, there were other people who have become casualties or were involved, and so I don’t want to make it look as if I was a great person and somebody was bad.
I feel that at a point in my life, I should have focused on my career more than any other thing. I shouldn’t have married then”.
