The Nigerian pastor, Abel Damina has dropped another controversial statement about procreation and the role of God in it.
In a video teaching, he had said, “God does not give children. A young man on drugs rapes a girl on the road, and she gets pregnant and & gives birth to twins, while a couple that has been faithfully paying tithe, fasting and praying for 15 years do not yet have a baby, can it be said that God is responsible? God can never be like that. God has already set the system of reproduction, it is humans that’ll determine whether they want to get pregnant by engaging in the needful or not.”
This has generated mixed reactions among netizens as some term his teachings heretic while others agreed with his viewpoints. Read some of the comments:
Phil Abuchi: The way he intentionally presents his sermons controversially is quite alarming .. Saying that God did not give children and later on talking about already designed system seems as if God is no longer the one who put the system in place .God is a Being , He is alive . He steps in and do what He choses to do in the affairs of Men , even by-passing the principles He established.
Nwayaku Chimezie: What of Abraham and Sarah? What of Hannah and Elkanna? My dear, God is involved in procreation. Thank you for being so carnal.
Blessed Bruce: I think Abel Damina major problem is lack of the ability to always say things in a right manner. He should have said,God gives children but through the participation of man. Simple, rather than confusing himself and contradicting scriptures. There are several scriptures that validate the claim that God gives children. May God help this man sha.
