Following the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu recently, former spokesperson of Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu, Joe Igbokwe is in celebration mode over the arrest.
Igbokwe happily took his celebration to Facebook, where he shared photos of himself kneeling down with his hands raised.
In his caption, he prayed for the souls of those who lost their lives in the South-East to find rest. Igbokwe wrote,
TO GOD BE THE GLORY. MAY THE SOULS OF HUNDREDS OF YOUNG MEN WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE SOUTH EAST REST IN PERFECT PEACE. AMEN! AN ENDLESS ALLELUIA!!!
The Federal government of Nigeria arrested the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami(SAN), announced this at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, June 29. Kanu was arrested in the UK and extradited to Abuja for trial on Sunday, June 27.
According to Malami, he was arrested by the collaborative effort of security agencies in Nigeria and Interpol. He further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja for the continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.
