Guinness World Record has revealed that their tweet announcing Nigerian chef Hilda Baci as the record holder for the longest cooking time by an individual is their most successful tweet to date.
They made this revelation via their official Twitter handle on Thursday, May 15, two days after they officially confirmed Hilda Baci’s record.
It will be recalled that the 26-year-old chef from Akwa Ibom state embarked on a non-stop cooking marathon in May 2023, cooking for a total of 100 hours.
This surpassed the previous record held by Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes.
However, after a thorough review, they deducted approximately seven hours from her total time because she mistakenly took extra minutes during one of her rest breaks, resulting in the record time being adjusted to 93 hours and 11 minutes. Read here
In a new update, GWR has revealed that their tweet about Hilda Baci is their best performing tweet of all time, reaching over 25 million accounts on the platform.
