Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the popular “celebrity native doctor”, Akwa Okuko Tiwari Aki, in Oba, Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to reports, the native doctor, known for displaying his wealth and affluence on social media, was taken from his room at Triple P Hotel in Oba on Sunday night, July 23, 2023. Sadly, two of his security aides were fatally shot and killed during the abduction.
A source revealed that the kidnapped native doctor is famous for providing anti-bullet charms and conducting money rituals at his Oba mansion, attracting a substantial number of visitors.
Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Monday and disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has initiated a manhunt for the abductors.
“The incident happened around 11:30 pm last night. CP Aderemi Adeoye has ordered that operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” he said.

In other news, the Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested two young men for allegedly attempting to arrange a same-sex marriage in the state.
Hisbah Commandant, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
According to Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the suspects named Khalifa and Abubakar were captured in a video trying to kiss each other during a party, suspected to be their engagement ceremony.
However, the accused individuals denied the allegation, stating that the event was a birthday celebration and not a wedding ceremony as claimed.
Khalifa, one of the suspects, explained that he arranged the party for his birthday, and his friend, Abubakar, “playfully fed him a piece of cake.”
Sheikh Daurawa confirmed that both suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.
