Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has shared his thought on the debate surrounding the divorce of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi and his wife Hiba Abouk.
According to an unconfirmed report, Hiba discovered recently that Hakimi had been putting 80 percent of his salary into his mother’s account, as well as buying properties in her name, which made it difficult for her to gain access to any of his assets since the couple is undergoing divorce proceedings.
The report ignited a discussion, with most men praising Hakimi for being “smart,” and others disagreeing and labeling him “mummy’s boy.”
Reacting to the news, Reno shared a picture with his mother on Instagram and claimed that having a mother like Hakimi’s meant you will never bother about your financial security.
According to him, Hakimi’s mother was a hero and everyone should have such a mother.
He wrote;
“Have a mother like Hakimi’s mother, and you will never have a bother. Hopefully, young men who disrespect their mothers because of their wives can learn a thing or two from Hakimi. Nobody can love you like God. But after God, nobody can love you like your mother, with the possible, but not regular, exception of your father! Hakimi makes us appreciate the lyrics of Prince Nico Mbarga’s Sweet Mother. You begin to understand why there are motherless babies homes, but no fatherless babies homes. Your wife may not take a bullet for you. But she will most likely take it for her child with you.
There is a difference between controlling someone and protecting them. Those who say Hakimi’s mother controls him may not see the big picture. Would you not rather be ‘controlled’ and be financially solvent, than left alone and made broke by divorce? If Princess Diana was alive to ‘control’ Prince Harry, do you think he would have ended up as Meghan Markle’s houseboy? I beg leave Hakim’s mother alone. We all should have such a mother. She is a hero!”
