Heavily pregnant Nigerian woman, Aminat Idrees, was the cynosure of all eyes at the National Sports Festival in Edo, after she won a gold medal in taekwondo.
Aminat who is 8-months-pregnant finished first in the mixed poomsae (demonstration) category in taekwondo, at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival tagged ‘Edo 2020 Games’.
Despite being pregnant, the Lagos athlete also won Silver in the female team Poomsae category and an individual bronze in the same category making her one of the leading medalists at the festival.
Video’s which captured her outstanding performance was shared online and stirred mixed reactions from netizens. while many commended her for her excellent performance and unmatched skill, critics berated her for engaging in such strenuous activity with her condition.
