Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has shared a video of the funny moment he thwarted his wife Kris’s attempt to surprise him with a visit from London.
Bovi revealed that his wife wanted to show up unannounced and surprise him ahead of his forthcoming show in Lagos on Saturday, September 30.
However, he had already figured out her surprise plan and decided to ‘surprise’ her instead. On the fateful day, he arranged pillows on their bed and covered them with a duvet to make it look like him.
He then hid himself in a blind spot in the room and waited for her to enter the bedroom. Amusingly, Kris tiptoed into the room and placed her phone on the TV console to capture the surprise.
When she opened the duvet, she was surprised to find pillows instead of her husband, and in that moment, Bovi came out of hiding to startle her, sparking laughter from both of them.
Sharing the video, the 44-year-old comedian disclosed that his wife has been trying to surprise him for 14 years but has never been successful.
He wrote,
“@krisasimonye wanted to surprise me to be by my side for my show on Saturday. She’s been trying to always surprise me for 14 years now. No luck. The giveaway signs had too many loopholes.”
