A funny incident occurred at a restaurant in Lagos state recently when a man was mistaken for popular singer, John Ighodaro better known as Johnny Drille.
The man, identified as Freddie, had gone to the restaurant to chill out when the manager mistook him for the singer know for the hit song ‘How are you my friend?’.
Acting on this conviction, the manager went out of his way to surprise Freddie with a complimentary cake with the inscription ‘Welcome Johnny Drille 2 Lagos Bistro’, and even brought in a photographer to capture the moment.
However, things took a funny twist when Freddie revealed that he is actually not the Mavin Records star.
Freddie posted a video of the hilarious moment on Twitter and wrote,
“Mistaken identity 🤣🤣🤣
The manager legit thought @Johnnydrille was at their restaurant. Brought a whole photo crew.
Thanks for the cake 🍰”

In other news, Johnny Drille recently revealed that his relationship with fast-rising actress, Tomi Ojo, is strictly platonic.
Recall that the two sparked dating rumors a while ago after they shared loved-up photos and videos of themselves on their respective social media pages.
Initially, netizens assumed it was a promotional video for Johnny Drille’s single ‘Believe Me,’ but when Tomi shared more adorable photos of them, it further fueled the rumor that they were an item.
However, during a recent interview with Hip TV, Johnny Drille maintained that they are “just friends.”
“First of all, if you watched the ‘Believe Me’ music video, you would know that there are two Ojos in the song. One is Wale Ojo, the other one is Tomi Ojo. It was, in a way, some kind of pun, but it seemed to work well together,” he said.
“But as for the relationship, Tomi Ojo is an amazing person. She’s fantastic to work with. She’s very great for the music video. That is the much I can say. That’s all I can say,” he added.
