Some hours after he was discharged following his recovery from Covid-19, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Friday, attended Jumma’at prayers at Bauchi Central Mosque in the midst of thousands of faithfuls.
The prayer is the first public outing since the governor contracted the disease.
Moments after the prayers, the governor, in a message, thanked the entire citizens of the state for their support, prayers and sympathy throughout the period of his isolation.
Mohammed, who was wearing hand gloves and face masks was in the company of the Deputy Governor, Baba Tela, Commissioners and other dignitaries.
Governor Mohammed was discharged on Thursday evening after he tested negative for coronavirus twice consecutively, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aliyu Muhammed Maigoro confirmed.
