Nadia Buari has a good relationship with her fellow actors but does not have one as a best friend, the actress has said.
Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr FM’s Starr Chat, Wednesday, the mother of twins said she has friends outside the showbiz circles but has none to pinpoint as a best friend in the industry.
She intimated that working with someone does not mean you will end up being friends.

“I have a great relationship with whoever I work with; I don’t have a best friend. I just have an amazing relationship with them. I have my friends outside the industry and so when I’m done, the fact that I’ve worked with you doesn’t mean we should be cool or we should be friends. But I do have great relationships when I’m working with them because that is the only way we can work in harmony but I don’t have a best friend,” she noted.
Nadia, however, dispelled assertions that she is arrogant. She argued that some people have misconstrued her shy nature as being anti-social.
“I think I am a weirdo, naturally sometimes I can be a nerd… I’m painfully shy and really nervous. A lot of people don’t believe that. They are like, ‘You are an actress and you are not supposed to be shy’ but I am extremely shy,” she said.
Adding, “I can’t start explaining to people that this is exactly how I am so you just take it as it is. It makes me feel bad because I feel like you need to get to know me before you can actually make all of these judgements.”
