A Nigerian senior pastor, U.O Miracle has told the members of his church some of the principles and importance of tithing as a Christian.
He informed them that not paying tithes would not stop them from going to heaven, however, they will go as poor and wretched people. But if they pay, they will be wealthy in heaven.
Using the life and afterlife of the biblical Lazarus to drive home his point, the prophet explained the demerits of not giving their ten percent to God.
He added that even though Lazarus eventually went to heaven “with his dirty body”, he was not given a good place there.
In his words,
“..even in heaven, he wasn’t given a good place. He was at the bosom of Abraham–bosom is like the boy’s quarter of a house”.
He also made Abraham’s wealth as the prototype of the gains of tithing.
