On 10th, April 2016, Wizkid became the first Nigerian singer to make the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it’s all thanks to his new feature in rapper Drake’s new release, One Dance.
The excited ‘Ojuelegba’ singer took to Twitter to share a snapshot of the article and to also celebrate the new feat. “Creating something iconic,” Wizkid captioned the post.
One Dance, which unexpectedly will appear on Drake’s upcomign album Views From the 6, was received warmly in Nigeria, but many people also dragged Wizkid over it. “He got the D’banj treatment“, critics said, their reference being D’banj’s feature in Kanye West’s Mercy.
Well, Wizkid has made Hot 100, a feat that is simply phenomenal and smacked him deeper in history books. Plus, One Dance also made the Top 2 Spots on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Chart.
