A Nigerian man, Peter Ijara has been honored for his achievement as the first banker in the history of Amanato Ozuakoli Uruala community in Imo State.
Ijara was conferred with an award of honour for being the community’s “Pioneer Mega Banker” at a ceremony organised by Umudiala Development Union on Monday, April 5.
The award was presented by Imo State Commissioner of Entrepreneurship and Skills Acquisition, Hon Iyke Umeh, who lauded the erudite banker for his steadfastness and doggedness in the banking industry.
The elated man, who has been a banker for 17 years and served as branch manager and area manager for Eco bank, said he was excited to be recognized by his people.
