Nigerians should be educated on the fact that the temperatures in Jos, capital city of Plateau state can drop to as low as 10° because of its location which is at staggering elevation of about 1,238 metres or 4,062 feet high above sea level.
This phenomenon of course, explains why ice, rather than rain regularly falls in the area, like it did today. Residents of the city woke up this morning to see the ice rain, or hailstones, which had fallen throughout the night.
