In Nigeria, we have the dapper looking windscreen washer, Abdullahi Olatoyan who goes about his daily business in a suit and tie, someone akin also resides in Ghana, a roasted corn seller, who also sells his petty trade in a suit and tie.
Mr. Sosu Patrick, who sells roasted corn on the streets of Accra was captured by Ghanaian photographer and health enthusiast, Kobby Blay.
Kobby who took the photos of the trader, 40 narrated to him how his business had started some five years ago after he had “a dream that this was going to be his breakthrough”.
“I have some other children too, and they are in school where I hail from,” “I have a quite a large farm and will soon complete my house.”
The corn seller is also very health conscious and believes he is probably Accra’s “best seller of good healthy roasted corn” as he doesn’t allow his customers to touch the corn until after they have purchased it from him.
“I don’t want my customers to blame me for cholera” he said
