Popular American disc jockey and record producer, Khaled Mohammed Khaled, known professionally as DJ Khaled, has revealed in an interview with Rolling stone that he feels inspired by Afrobeats.
Speaking to the interviewer, Dj Khaled revealed that he’s 75 percent done with his album which would be released in 2024.
The upcoming album which will be the record producer’s 14th studio album would be titled ‘Love All, Trust Few’.
While describing how he loved working with Canadian Rapper Drake, he revealed that Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer Burna Boy would be in his upcoming album.
While describing how Afrobeats inspired him, the DJ mentioned that there’s a similar spiritual connection he feels with Afrobeats and Dancehall.
Adding that he would love to work with Grammy award winner Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems.
According to rolling stones;
“He’s also got Burna Boy on the album, and he says he’s been feeling inspired lately by Afrobeats, finding a similar spiritual connection to the one he feels with dancehall: Khaled’s time in Jamaica early in his DJ career gave him a special affinity for Caribbean culture.”
Fans of both Afrobeats singer have applauded Burna Boy and Tems for constantly putting Nigeria and Afrobeats on the map, while others appreciated the Disc Jockey.
