US-based Nigerian rapper, Yung6ix has revealed that he achieved fame before popular Nigerian singer, Davido.
The musician took a jab at Davido for omitting him from his list of young individuals who rose to prominence in the Nigerian music industry.
Recall that Davido earlier claimed that Wizkid and he were two of the first young Nigerian musicians to become well-known.
He claimed that before other musicians whom he referred to as “new cats” jumped on board, he and Wizkid were the pioneer artists who opened the path for the global recognition and success of Afrobeat music.
Reacting to this, Yung6ix claimed that it was Wizkid, Olamide and himself that were the youngins of that time and they paved the way for others.
In his words;
“David, David. How many times I called your name?
You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time.
You want to skip me from the legacy?”
