Change Sanitary Pads Regularly

The use of tampons, panty liners and sanitary pads can promote a less than pleasant smell, especially if they are not changed often and regularly.

Consider using the unscented variants, as these may interfere with your body’s natural aroma, and change them as soon as they’re sufficiently soiled or after about four hours of use to keep yourself fresh, clean and odor-free.

Wear Cotton Underwear

Wear cotton underwear to promote sufficient air circulation and help reduce genital odor.

Fabrics made with synthetic materials do not promote good air flow and are more likely to make your intimate parts smell even before you have intercourse.

Watch What You Eat

What you eat can also affect your body’s odor, including that of your intimate parts.

Eating food with a lot of spices in it may not do your body’s natural aroma any favors. You’re more likely to emit a questionable smell when you’ve consumed onions, garlic and curry for example.

The same thing happens when you consume cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower, as these contain sulfur, which when broken down, makes your body emit an odor similar to rancid butter.

You can eat those veggies with a pinch of sea salt to minimize or eliminate the odor producing effect.

Minimize or avoid the consumption of foods having a lot of yeast and sugar.
