Lagos State Commissioner For Environment Raises Alarm Over Illegal Construction on Lekki Canal (VIDEO)

The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has expressed concern and taken action following a trending video showing a man uncovering an illegal construction project on a canal in the Lekki area of the state.

In the viral video, the man draws attention to a section of the canal at Orchid Road that has been unlawfully filled with sand, with structures being built on top of it.

The video shows the disregard for environmental regulations and the risks associated with such unauthorized construction.

Reacting to the video, Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab denounced the activities in the video, labeling them as “illegal construction.”
