First Lady of Lagos, Bolanle Ambode was photoed going down on both knees to greet head of states, President Buhari during his visit to the state last week.
With her husband, the governor, Akinwumi Ambode by her side, the Lagos state first lady is seen shaking the head of states while kneeling down – a typical Yoruba gesture when showing respect for someone above you.
President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the economic capital of West Africa last Thursday amidst fanfare as his presence met an unprecedented number of his loyalists who showed up to see and cheer the commander-in-chief.
The President was received on Thursday by the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, as well as the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, among other government officials.
Shortly after his arrival, President Buhari inaugurated the Ikeja Bus Terminal which is expected to commute more than 100,000 residents across 23 bus routes in the state.
He later proceeded to the venue of the colloquium organised to mark the 66th Birthday of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, in Victoria Island axis of the state.
