Big Brother Naija housemate, Laycon has opened up about his genotype to his fellow housemates, stating that he’s “SC” and doesn’t like to share the information with people to avoid pity.
The musician further explained that although he has hemoglobin that carries symptoms similar to those of Sickle Cell disease, they are dormant in his own case.
In his words,
“My genotype is SC.. It’s a sickle cell genotype but it’s dormant.
“I don’t like to tell people my genotype because I feel they will think I’m sick.”
An inquisitive Dorathy, asked if his genotype is the reason for his small body frame.
She said, “guess that is why you are thin”.

Laycon recently set the record of being the first housemate ever to hit a million followers while still in the house.
Laycon’s IG page achieved this feat few days ago, making him the first housemate ever to hit the million mark as a result of the fame he’s garnered in the Big Brother house.
It should be recalled that Laycon was also the first housemate of the fifth edition of the reality TV show to be verified on Instagram with just 45k followers on the photo sharing platform.
Before he made it into the Big Brother house, Laycon —a talented 24 year old rapper— had just close to 4k followers but few days after viewers got to know him and had a liking for his personality, his amount of follows skyrocketed in no time and now, he’s copped a whopping million followers.
His fan base are quite confident that he’ll emerge winner of the fifth edition of the reality TV show.
