Nigerian actress and reality TV star, Lilian Afebgbai has recounted the unpleasant electricity-related experience she had in South Africa.
She was shocked to learn that South Africa, like Nigeria, occasionally has power outages.
The former Big Brother Africa housemate claimed that when she went to a theater to see a movie, the power went out, and she found it humorous.
According to Lilian, anytime load shedding occurs, the government notifies the public ahead of time, and it has an impact on the network and internet access.
She said that everything stops working in South Africa as load shedding begins, in contrast to Nigeria, where the network continues to function even if PHCN shuts off the light.
She claimed that because there was no generator utilized in houses or apartment buildings, once the power is restored or just before it is, people hurry to use it to charge their phones, iron clothing, wash laundry, and perform other tasks.
The actress emphasized that other countries have difficulties they faced, and it was unfair for Nigerians to criticize their country while other countries are going through the same things.
According to Lilian, when the electricity came back on, she walked to her balcony and exclaimed, “NEPA don bring light,” to the surprise of her neighbor.
