Moses Eskor, a Nollywood filmmaker and the Chairman of the Akwa-Cross Chapter of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN), has made a sad revelation about the burial arrangements of the makeup artist who drowned in the boat mishap in the Anam River, Abigail Frederick.
The late 24-year-old was one of the victims of the accident that claimed the life of popular Nollywood actor Junior Pope and three other crew members on Wednesday, April 10.
In a post shared on Facebook, Moses disclosed that Abigail was buried at the riverbank because her family couldn’t afford the cost of the sacrifice to the river goddess, which amounted to N150,000, and an ambulance to bring her corpse home.
According to Eskor, he was able to raise the sum of N310,000 from well-meaning people. Out of the donation, N200,000 was used to convey her parents to Asaba and back home.
However, he has since deleted the posts after receiving severe backlash from netizens.
