The Oyo state Police Command on Wednesday apprehended a man who allegedly worked with others to kidnap his own father.
The suspect, whose identity remain undisclosed claimed to have gotten a share of about N1million out of the ransom collected.
Mr. Abiodun Adekunle Odude, the Oyo state Commissioner of Police, said the kidnapping took place at Igboora in Ibarapa Central local government Area of Oyo on 17th of May at about 6pm.
He included that the suspects would be charged to court once they complete investigations.
He said:
“The suspect said he got a share of less than N1 million in the ransom collected although he confessed that his father never offended him,”
Meanwhile, six suspects said to be involved in the kidnapping of popular Ibadan-based oil magnate and Chief Executive Officer of Bovas Oil and Gas Limited were also nabbed.
Firearms, musical instruments, knives, nine vehicles, one motorcycle, N1.2 million and phones were recovered from the suspects.
