At least two people are dead and 24 have been injured, 12 critical, in a mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas, a hospital spokesman says.
Reports stated that gunfire was heard at the Route 91 Country Music festival, which was taking place across the road from the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
Concert-goers reported seeing muzzle flashes from the upper floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and the sound of what they described as automatic gun fire.
Authorities shut down part of the Las Vegas Strip after receiving reports of an active shooter. Witnesses say country singer Jason Aldean was playing near the end of the concert when gunfire rang out.
