While his legal team and fans are working on pleading for his freedom, American rapper Meek Mill is taking advantage of his time in prison to turn his life around.
The Philadelphia rapper, who’s serving a two-to-four-year prison sentence, is reportedly juggling multiple jobs while behind bars, which includes some serious physical labor.
According to TMZ, Meek is part of the general labor crew at SCI Chester in Pennsylvania, where he reportedly earns 19 cents an hour for his work during the day.
A source told the outlet that the Wins & Losses MC helps clean the cell block, tidies up the prison grounds, serves food and washes dishes.
Reports say that Meek has a great attitude while completing his work, sporting a smile throughout his tasks, making him a “model inmate.”
Being that he is displaying positive behavior in prison, he is also earning some perks for his hard work, including access to electrical and carpentry shops, as well as being wait-listed for therapy courses.
At the moment, Meek’s lawyers are filing an updated bail motion in Superior Court for the rapper, which comes one day after Judge Genece Brinkley called Meek a “danger to the community” and denied his previous bail request.
While his team is working hard to get him out of prison, it’s great to hear that Meek has such a positive attitude while behind bars.
