Ivie Ibitoye, the wife of music producer, Temitayo Ibitoye a.k.a Tee-Y Mix, has penned an open letter to her family and friends cautioning them against putting pressure on expectant couples.
The HR expert in a series of post on her Instastories stated that it is not in anyone’s place to calculate how long a couple has been married and why they don’t have kids.
She pointed out that sending subtle reminders to expectant parents about their childlessness is rude and puts the couple under silent pressure. Ivie also mentioned that it is not anyone’s business and that people should learn to mind their business.
Ivie, who tied the knot with Tee-Y Mix in August 2019, opined that just as marriage is not an achievement, having a child is also not an achievement. She said that when people get to heaven, they won’t have extra points for getting married and having kids.
