Veteran Nollywood actress, Idowu Philips, popularly known as Mama Rainbow, has visited Jerusalem to intercede in prayers for Nigeria.
The proud Nigerian thespian made this known in an Instagram post on Friday, February 17.
As the 2023 general elections draw near and lingering fuel and naira scarcities cause chaos in the country, Mama Rainbow revealed that she decided to travel to the holy land to pray for Nigeria.
She shared photos and videos of herself fervently praying with the caption, “I’m in Jerusalem all because of you, Nigeria.”
One of the photos showed the actress rolling on the floor as she prayed vehemently for the progress and betterment of her beloved country, Nigeria.
Her post, however, elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many noting that the solution to Nigeria’s problems is voting the right leaders rather than prayers.
An Instagram user, @sent_one_media wrote, “I’m sorry but how will God in Jerusalem answer for Nigeria. Nigeria will have to solve her problem just as Jerusalem did.”
