The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, has addressed the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
Recall that the entire nation was deeply shaken by the news of the 27-year-old singer’s passing on Tuesday, September 13.
A significant controversy has surrounded the real cause of his death. Initial reports suggested that he had been struck by ‘juju’ at an event the previous Sunday; however, other reports claim he had an ear infection and passed away after receiving an injection.
Some reports also suggested that the singer, who had been hypertensive before his untimely passing, died from the ailment.
Despite the conflicting reports, the ‘ko po ke’ crooner was swiftly laid to rest on Wednesday, September 13.
During an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, the police PRO stated that the police are currently investigating the cause of the singer’s death.
He mentioned that they might consider exhuming his corpse for an autopsy if deemed necessary, and there is still time for such a decision.
Benjamin also encouraged anyone with credible information about the singer’s passing to come forward, assuring them that their identities would be kept confidential.
