Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has denied knowing who sang ‘Holla at your boy’ while partying at a club.
The Grammy award winner disclosed this at a club where he and his friends had gathered to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
One of Wizkid’s female friends, identified as Coco, had asked the singer while they were vibing to the song ‘Holla at your boy if he knows who sang it.
She said; “My friend sang this song, do you know who sang this song”
In response, Wizkid mentioned that he is not familiar with the artiste who sang the song. “I don’t know,” he said.
His response has since generated funny reactions from his fans. Though many saw it as a joke, others concluded that he was high, hence the answer he gave.
The song ‘Holla at your boy’ is the artiste’s first hit single, released in 2010, and was part of his album ‘Superstar’ in 2011.
