Nollywood actress turned entrepreneur, Susan Peters has taken to social media to call out Nigerians who have been vandalizing banks following the outrage at cash scarcity that has plagued the country since redesigning the naira notes.
It is no news that Nigerians have been experiencing cash shortage as the Central Bank of Nigeria pushes to replace old naira notes with newly designed currency notes and have taken to the streets to protest and cause damage to some banks.
Taking to her Instagram page, the thespian shared a video issuing protesters to stop destroying banks because it was counter productive.
According to her, most of the protesters do not have money in their bank accounts and just jumped on an opportunity to destroy things.
She also implored the Central bank governors to find ways to send money to other rural areas to reduce the need for customers to protest.
She wrote;
“Central bank governor, if you were able to send money to some villages in the north so they could change their old naira notes , why have you not sent it to the rest of the villages around the country? Stop being one sided ,let’s know where our issues are coming from , do the needful and send to other states too”
