A Nigerian soldier has expressed his displeasure with Nigerians mourning the late singer Mohbad but have never mourned his slain colleagues who died in the line of duty.
The soldier, who said he has been in the bush for days, criticized Nigerians for not appreciating the sacrifices made by the men of the Nigerian army to protect the country.
According to him, the entire nation has been mourning the deceased singer for weeks, and social media platforms are filled with his pictures and tributes, while soldiers who spend days in the bush and risk their lives to protect the citizens have never received that level of honor.
He added that instead of receiving praise, soldiers are often disregarded and disrespected by civilians.
Speaking further, he threatened to deal with anyone who fails to give him the respect he believes he deserves.

In other news, one of the men who was in the car when the death of popular Nigerian singer, Mohbad, was announced has denied claims that he has fled the country.
Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who shared her ‘findings’ from her ‘private investigation’ into Mohbad’s death, had alleged that the man has fled to Dubai to evade police investigation.
The young man has now come forward to refute the accusation of leaving the country. He further disclosed that he, along with Mohbad’s brother and wife, were interrogated by the police and gave their statements at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department on September 20th.
