Controversial singer Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Samson Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, have reportedly been granted bail after being held in custody for weeks due to their suspected involvement in Mohbad’s death.
As part of their bail conditions, the two are expected to provide three sureties and pay twenty million naira each.
As an additional bail condition, the court ordered that they surrender their foreign passports and appear weekly.
The defendants were directed to submit their passports and report once a week to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, by Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun.
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” Olatunbosun ruled.
Furthermore, the magistrate in charge of the case issued a stern caution, stating unequivocally that any attempt to get in touch with her would be noted and might even be revealed during public court sessions.
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.
