Nigerian music executive, Tunji Balogun, better known as Teebillz, has come to the defense of his colleague, Naira Marley, amidst his recent scandal.
Recall that the Marlian Music boss was recently heavily criticized on social media for his alleged involvement in the harassment and assault of his deceased former record label signee, Mohbad.
This controversy arose after videos of Mohbad being bullied by individuals purportedly connected to Naira Marley surfaced online following his tragic demise.
This incident sparked outrage among Nigerians, leading to many fans unfollowing the singer on his various social media platforms.
While the anger has slowly subsided, Teebillz recently took to his Instagram page to make a case for Naira Marley, stating that he is too young and talented to be cancelled.
He added that Naira Marley gave Mohbad, also known as Imole, a chance when no one knew him, but now people are turning their backs on him.
In a now-deleted posted, Teebillz, who was formerly married to singer Tiwa Savage, wrote,
“#Too young too talented to throw under the bus of cancel culture! One of the best writers of the new age! Guilty by association is not a deliberate crime to me.
I pray ppl forgives Naira Marley off his shortcomings and I hope God gives him a 2nd chance to attain his blessings as a bonified leader and influencer! Just yesterday when everyone and their mama was a glorified Marlian……. Naira belived and invested in Imole’s talent when none of the after death advocates of love did….!!! May our creator bless us where we lack knowledge and wisdom!”
