Mixed reactions have trailed photos of single ladies who stormed a religious event over the weekend in wedding gowns.
Popular gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey hosted an event called the “Hallelujah Festival” on Sunday, October 22, and he instructed people to ‘dress like their miracle.’
This led some attendees to dress in ways that reflected their earnest prayers. Several single women, who are believing God for marriage, chose to wear wedding gowns and wedding rings to the event.
Photos from the event were shared online and have generated a flurry of comments from netizens. Some described their action as “desperate,” while others saw nothing wrong with it, arguing that it was an act of faith.
Certain netizens asserted that, contrary to the popular argument that marriage is not an achievement in this day and age, it is indeed an achievement for women, otherwise, they wouldn’t have worn wedding gowns to the event.
