Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has seemingly tackled her relative, Yul Edochie, and his second wife, Judy Austin, over their online service.
It was earlier reported that the controversial couple held a virtual service on Sunday, February 25, where Yul, the lead pastor, invited Judy to offer counsel to women.
During the sermon, Judy advised ladies against performing wifely duties for their boyfriends in school, and to instead focus on their studies.
She emphasized the importance of not succumbing to peer pressure and compromising personal principles just because their peers have the latest phones and material things.
Her words,
“Our girls that go to school to read, to gain the knowledge that will shape your life, you focus on playing the girlfriend roles to your boyfriend in his flat probably because he’s rich, they will carry you in front of Benz and then you are the madam, a student 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 what you need as a young girl is to go and be playing wife role to another small boy that knows nothing. You’re the IT girl, no you’re not you have been distracted from what you were sent to school to do, don’t let peer pressure put you into something you can’t explain, and don’t destroy yourself with your one hand”
Her admonition didn’t sit well with many, including Rita Edochie, who took to the internet to criticize Judy for being outspoken on social media, despite ‘snatching’ Yul from his first wife, May.
In response to their online service, the veteran actress emphasized that God cannot be mocked, and she warned that their ultimate fate would be disastrous.
She wrote,
“HOW CAN YOU HOLD SOMEBODY’S HUSBAND TO RANSOME, AND YOU ARE BLABBING EVERY NOW AND THEN ?
BUT I LAUGH BECAUSE THE END WILL BE DISASTROUS, YOU CAN NEVER MOCK GOD.
WHAT HE WILL DO WILL SHOCK YOU.
RITA EDOCHIE”
