Two Nigerian men based abroad have torn their Nigerian passport out of anger over the poor conduct of the 2023 general elections.
In videos shared online, the men expressed their displeasure with the way the Presidential and Governorship elections were conducted in the country.
One of the men complained bitterly about the election process and outcome, saying he is very disappointed in Nigeria and does not believe the country is redeemable.
He renounced his citizenship and tore his Nigerian passport, declaring that he does not want to be associated with Nigeria.
The second man, on his part, stated that he is first and foremost a Nigerian before Igbo, and he is deeply disappointed in the way the election panned out.
He said he did not support Peter Obi because of tribe but because of his capabilities and competency yet the vote of millions of Nigerians didn’t count. Out of frustration, he also tore his passport.

In other news, a Nigerian woman identified as Ada Ejiejemba has narrated her terrible election day experience in Lagos state.
Ada claimed that her personal hairdresser who she has always been good to told thugs who were assaulting Igbos that she is also an Igbo.
She described how, after paying for her services, she gave the woman money to care for her children and shared her food with her, only for the woman to place a mark on her back by reporting her to thugs.
Ada shared her story on her status and said the woman referred to her as ”Omo Igbo” and watched as the thugs flogged her.
